Where is home?

Silverlake, California is where I live but I’m originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Do you have any daily rituals?

Not really now that I think about it...is that bad? I do the same sorta thing every morning like get up wash my face, brush my hair and teeth and get dressed, but everyday is different really so I haven't kept any rituals going.

What was the first job you truly felt excited about?

I actually recently did a job with Atelier Dore for Net-A-Porter that I was really excited about!

What do you do for work now?

I work part-time as a digital marketer and I also freelance as a photographer, creative director, stylist, and model (depending on the project).

What is the best thing about what you do?

The creative freedom. It’s hard for me to do the same thing everyday. I would shrivel up and die if you told me I had to work a 9-5 doing something mindless. I like to constantly be challenged and moving about. My spirit animal is a great white shark so that makes sense, also my dad can’t sit still for more than five seconds so could be from him haha.

How would you define your personal brand?

H.F.L is a Photography house offering personalized photo diaries for brands who are looking to expand their social media journey beyond their own imagery.

How has creativity played a role in your career?

My whole career is based around being creative so without it I wouldn't be doing what I’m doing. I’ve always loved creating new things so I feel very blessed to be able to do that everyday.

What is your favorite project you’ve been a part of?

I was able to be on Steven Chee’s team for an Editorial for Grazia Australia a few years ago. We flew in a heli to multiple locations around the South Island of New Zealand. The whole shoot was amazing and very inspiring./p>

What would you like to see yourself doing in 5 years?

Shooting or Creative Directing big campaigns around the world but campaigns that are for a Cause or have some sort of bigger purpose behind them. Still working out what this would look like.

How do you like to spend your free time?

In the winter I enjoy snowboarding at Bear Mountain with my Fun Gurlz Crew, and in summer I’m keen on a nice beach day with some beers and a wee surf.

Do you have any style muses at the moment?

Oracle Fox has been my muse since I found her on insta like five years ago. She’s a queen.

What would you do, see or learn if you had more time?

I would write a book about my life so far and the struggles my family and I have faced. The book would be a series cause I’m not nearly half way through my life so I’d just keep writing and releasing books until I died. People would have to decide for themselves if the last book was a happy ending but I would write the books in hopes to encourage other people through the difficult things life throws at them. Oh and I’d also surf more, learn how to speak spanish/french, and learn to play Mandolin.

Are there any women in your life that have been most instrumental in your career?

My best friend Kayla is a graphic designer and a huge support in everything I do. She has pushed me forward when all I’ve wanted to do was crumble at times. I wouldn't be where I am today without her. Also shout out to Cassie Ebner of Palo Santo Studios who has helped me a lot the past year or so after moving back to LA from overseas. She is a powerhouse and has amazing energy.

How would you're best friend describe you?

Hmmm...probably motivated, outgoing, creative, intense/intimidating at times haha, and loyal.
